PLN 23: 10 Minutes. Once a Week. Watch What Happens.
Time to Read: 3 mins
When clients first come to me, there’s often a similar pattern.
They’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, taken the courses, and done all the things.
They have TONS of insight.
But insight alone hasn’t changed their outcomes.
Why?
Because information without action keeps transformation out of reach!
Think about it… how many times have you had an a-ha, and then failed to put it into practice?
And I get it. We get busy, our a-ha’s fade into the background, and we keep reacting and responding to what comes our way.
But the truth is, if we want to elevate our impact, we need both: insight and implementation.
🧐 Insight accumulates ideas.
💪 Implementation accumulates growth.
And here’s what happens when you combine both… you begin leading yourself by design instead of by default, driving significant change over time.
I've seen it over and over in my clients. And it's so beautiful to watch. 🥰
But it got me thinking about this newsletter.
What would happen if you treated this newsletter like a weekly 10-minute coaching session?
Not something you skim over or save for later, but something you truly interact with.
Because there’s a huge difference between reading about leadership… and practicing it.
One approach collects insight, while the other compounds capacity.
Think about it…
➡️ 52 newsletters a year.
➡️ 52 moments of reflection.
➡️ 52 micro-experiments in how you think, act, or motivate yourself.
If you don’t currently have a leadership coach or you’re not in a formal coaching program…
This could be your weekly leadership lab.
Ten intentional minutes. Once a week. That’s it.
Because self-leadership isn’t about intensity, it’s about consistency.
And consistency doesn’t require hours — it requires rhythm.
💡 Practionable Takeaway
Are you up for a challenge? One that, if practiced consistently, would elevate how you live and lead?
Okay… here it is:
Treat this weekly newsletter as your 10-minute leadership lab.
Don’t just read it. Interact with it.
✅ Answer the questions.
✅ Run the experiments.
✅ Capture what you notice.
No radical reinvention or massive overhaul here.
Just consistent participation that leads to incremental growth and awareness.
Because who you are is shaped by what you practice. And what you practice compounds over time.
🎥 Want to Go Deeper?
Incremental improvement packs a bigger punch than people initially realize.
In fact, Kaizen (the Japanese philosophy of small, positive change) is so powerful that it kept Toyota from going under in the 1940s... despite post-WWII economic pressure.
And it's even more powerful today than it was then... because research-informed insights have shown us how and where to implement it.
This week’s video explores Kaizen (aka the 1% rule) and coaches you through three small, practical ways to strengthen your leadership without overhauling everything.
If you’re ready to move from insight to experimentation, you can watch it here.👇
