One-on-One Coaching
WHO You Are Is HOW You Lead
Cultivate your inner leader. Transform your outer impact.
A six-month leader development coaching experience grounded in self-leadership theory.
No pitch. We’ll decide together whether this is a fit.
Most development programs focus on what leaders do
Things like… How to delegate. How to give feedback. How to motivate a team. How to manage change.
Those skills are important but they’re also only part of the story.
Because beneath every leadership behavior is a person. Someone with deeply held beliefs, automatic reactions, internal narratives, emotional patterns, personal values, and habitual ways of responding to pressure.
You can learn every leadership technique in the book but if you haven’t developed the person applying those techniques, they will only take you so far.
Lasting change begins with the leader.
Leadership vs Leader Development
Leadership development focuses on external capabilities. Leader development goes deeper. It focuses on the human being who is communicating, delegating, influencing, and deciding.
Leadership development builds
- Communication
- Delegation
- Feedback
- Influence
- Team performance
- Strategic decision-making
- Change management
Leader development asks
- Who are you when the pressure rises?
- What story do you tell yourself when you feel uncertain?
- What happens internally when someone challenges you?
- Which values guide your choices, and which fears sometimes override them?
- What patterns emerge when you are tired, overwhelmed, or trying to prove yourself?
- Are you leading your thoughts and actions, or are old habits leading them for you?
Leader development work doesn’t ignore external leadership skills. It strengthens the inner capacity that lets you use those skills with authenticity, consistency, and impact.
You will not be taught to imitate someone else’s version of leadership. You will learn to lead more fully from your own.
“She helps you figure out your identity and how it’s related to how you’re telling your story and how you’re leading. She’s looking at who you are on the inside and how you can use self-leadership to better yourself as a leader and empower all parts of your life.”

The leader others experience begins within you
Every leader has an inner operating system. It shapes how you interpret events, where you direct your attention, what you believe is possible, how you speak to yourself, and what you do next.
Much of that system runs automatically.
This is why…
These reactions are human. But left unexamined, they quietly limit your leadership. They affect the decisions you make, the risks you take, the conversations you avoid, and the environment you create for other people.
Self-leadership gives you another option. It helps you notice the pattern, interrupt the automatic response, and choose how you want to lead.
What is self-leadership?
Self-leadership is the intentional process of influencing your own thinking, motivation, emotions, and behavior so you can move toward what matters to you.
It’s more than self-discipline and more than productivity. And it has nothing to do with toxic positivity or false confidence.
Self-leadership is the ability to understand and direct yourself from the inside out.
Grounded in established self-leadership theory, our work explores three connected areas:
How You Think
The internal narratives, assumptions, mental rehearsals, and beliefs shaping the way you lead. You’ll practice replacing limiting thinking with thought patterns that support clearer decisions, steadier confidence, and more intentional action.
How You Act
The habits, actions, environmental cues, and patterns influencing your performance. You’ll learn to observe your behavior more objectively, set meaningful goals, and build supportive structures, without relying on pressure or self-criticism to keep you moving.
How You Motivate Yourself
You will reconnect your work with meaning, purpose, strengths, and intrinsic motivation. Instead of forcing yourself through every challenge, you’ll learn to shape the way you approach your work so it feels more aligned, engaging, and sustainable.
Any challenge you bring might live in one of these areas, two, or all three. My job is to ask the direct questions and the more nuanced ones, notice what you aren’t yet seeing, and reflect it back so you see it for yourself. Being told something rarely changes anyone. Seeing it for yourself does.
“Laura’s three pillars became guardrails for me. They weren’t restrictions, they were guidance.”
A year ago I was sitting on the floor at a retreat, going through Laura Miner’s framework for the first time on self-leadership. I was in the middle of rebuilding my entire identity after leaving my Fortune 30 career as a senior director, and to be honest, I was totally lost… When everything else felt uncertain, when I was unclear of who I was and who I wanted to become, that’s what I continued to lean on.
Fast forward one year, I was invited back to the same retreat, this time in a leadership capacity… I’m now able to use these same pillars to show up and scale my business, show up on stages, and lead with confidence.

Imagine leading from a different place
Imagine noticing self-doubt without letting it make your decisions.
Imagine entering a difficult conversation grounded in your values instead of driven by anxiety.
Imagine responding thoughtfully when challenged, instead of becoming defensive, withdrawn, or overly accommodating.
Imagine trusting your judgment without needing constant reassurance.
Imagine pursuing ambitious results without using exhaustion as proof of your commitment.
Imagine understanding your patterns clearly enough to choose your response instead of repeating the same reaction.
Imagine your team experiencing you as more present, consistent, courageous, and real.
That is the journey from inner leader to outer impact.
No pitch. We’ll decide together whether this is a fit.
Who you’ll be working with
Credentials
- PhD in Leadership Studies (Gonzaga, 2025)
- ICF Professional Certified Coach
- Board Certified Coach
- Advanced Certified Personal and Executive Coach
- Author of STRENGTHENED: Developing the Leader Within
For the last seventeen-plus years I’ve helped people get unstuck and grow: one-on-one, groups and teams, and from the stage. Tens of thousands of hours and thousands of people, ranging from business owners and solopreneurs to senior leaders inside organizations.
What I’ve learned in that time is that the thing someone brings up first is rarely the thing they end up working on. It’s the entry point.
Underneath it is a person with patterns in how they think, act, and motivate themselves, and that’s where the real movement happens.
My work is to ask the questions that surface it, notice what someone can’t see about themselves yet, and reflect it back clearly enough that they can finally do something with it.
I didn’t come to this from theory. I spent more than fifteen years in and around corporate leadership, including a decade leading sales teams. I worked under leaders who made me better and leaders who made the job unbearable. And I learned why two companies could run identical playbooks and get polar opposite results.
The variable was never the framework. It was the person at the top and how they led themselves, and the impact that had on others.
That’s what pulled me toward the leader rather than the leadership. Because who you are is how you lead, and my job is to help you develop that person.
“Laura is a badass, but in such a rooted, non-invasive way… She’ll get curious with you, and she’ll ask, can I challenge you in the most kind way?”

The Program
Inner Leader, Outer Impact
A six-month one-on-one coaching experience grounded in self-leadership theory.
Over six months you will develop a deeper understanding of who you are, what drives you, how you influence your own thinking and behavior, and what becomes possible when you lead yourself with greater intention.
What Working Together Looks Like
Over six months, you’ll learn to…
- Understand the internal patterns shaping how you lead, both yourself and others
- Clarify the values and purpose you want your leadership to express
- Recognize your habitual responses to stress, uncertainty, and challenge
- Shift internal narratives that undermine your confidence or effectiveness
- Strengthen your ability to influence your own motivation and behavior
- Build trust in your judgment and your leadership identity
- Lead others with greater authenticity, consistency, and emotional steadiness
What’s included
Eighteen sixty-minute video coaching sessions
Three per month for six months. Which means the work happens at a pace that real change requires. This is critical because patterns we’ve held for decades need repetition to shift, and experience has taught me that monthly check-ins don’t provide that.
A co-creation call to set the stage
This is above and beyond your eighteen sessions. We use this call to map your challenges, discuss your goals, and co-create our approach. Every person is unique, and crafting an individualized plan is what allows us to be true partners in your growth and evolution.
A library of your calls
All calls are recorded and stored in a private password-protected library. This allows you to revisit insights that surfaced during our calls whenever you want or need.
Two research-backed assessments
The first is the self-leadership assessment, which provides insight on how you think, act, and motivate yourself. The second is the VIA strengths assessment, which looks at the character strengths that are core to who you are. The combination of the two gives us a strong foundation to build from.
Two emergency fifteen-minute calls
Let’s be real, sometimes things go sideways and we need support navigating through it. These calls, if needed, are for those unexpected situations that can’t always wait until the next scheduled call.
A closing reflect-and-review session
This is not your eighteenth call. This happens after the final call so we look at what moved, explore what’s still open, and discuss what comes next.
Self-leadership as a permanent framework
Self-leadership isn’t something you engage in once and you’re done. It’s more like showering; it’s a perpetual practice that keeps you growing, expanding, and meeting each new challenge at the level it demands. You’ll walk away from our partnership as a self-leader who knows how to systematically impact how you think, act, and motivate yourself to get the results you’re after. Inner Leader, Outer Impact.
Your Investment
$4,000
or three monthly payments of $1,350
Everything above included.
No pitch. We’ll decide together whether this is a fit.
“She has been the biggest catalyst of my change, even from leaving my job to growing my business to several six figures, and she literally is the person that will help you make decisions on your own… helping me come up with the answers on my own.”

What clients say
The most important person you will ever lead is yourself
Your team can feel when you are grounded and when you are seeking approval. They can feel when your words and your values line up and when they don’t. They can feel when you are present, when you trust them, and when your anxiety enters the room before you do.
Your inner world does not stay inside you. It shapes the decisions you make, the energy you bring, the relationships you build, and the possibilities you create for other people.
Developing the leader within isn’t separate from producing results. It’s where sustainable results begin.
Questions
$4,000 for the six-month engagement, or three monthly payments of $1,350. That includes both assessments, all eighteen sessions, the two emergency calls, the opening call, and the closing review. In addition, all calls will be recorded and you’ll have access to a private, password-protected library.
You don’t yet, and I won’t claim otherwise. That’s what the free call is for. We talk about what you’re actually facing and decide together whether this is the right work. If it isn’t, I’ll tell you, and I’ll point you somewhere better if I can.
And if we’re a few sessions in and either of us sees the fit isn’t there, I’ll release you from the contract. That has only happened once in fifteen years, because the complimentary conversation and the initial co-creation call really do help us determine if we’re a mutually good fit for one another.
If what you’ve done is producing the results you want, then no. Keep going.
But if you’ve done the work, read the books, learned the strategies, and your results still aren’t hitting the mark, then let’s chat.
Three hours a month, plus the thinking between them. Set that against the hours you currently lose to the patterns we’d be working on: the conversations you redo, the decisions you revisit, the work that routes back through you because delegating didn’t hold.
Leadership development emphasizes the knowledge and skills involved in leading other people. Leader development focuses on the growth of the individual leader: their identity, self-awareness, thinking, motivation, values, emotional patterns, and behavior.
This program connects the two. It develops the person within so they create a stronger impact externally.
No. Self-leadership applies whether you lead a large organization, manage a small team, influence across functions, run a business, or are preparing for formal leadership. You don’t need a title to begin developing the leader within.
Awareness is an important foundation, and… awareness alone doesn’t produce change. This work helps you translate what you know about yourself into intentional thought patterns, behaviors, practices, and results.
It’s a catalyst to turn insight into action, and action into results.
Your outcomes depend on your goals and your engagement. Clients report clearer decision-making, greater confidence, more intentional behavior, improved resilience, stronger communication, healthier boundaries, and a more consistent impact on other people.
No. Coaching focuses on awareness, development, goals, choices, and forward movement. It may involve examining patterns and beliefs, and it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Yes. Coaching conversations are confidential. If an organization sponsors your participation, we’ll establish clear agreements about goals, boundaries, and any progress reporting before the engagement begins.
Yes. Organizational sponsorship is welcome. I can provide an invoice, a program overview, and a business case connecting leader development with workplace impact.
Let’s find out if this is right for you
Leadership is visible. Its source is not.
Before you can lead other people with greater clarity, courage, and intention, you have to learn to lead the person behind every decision, interaction, and result. That person is you.
WHO you are is HOW you lead.
No pitch. We’ll decide together whether this is a fit.
